Mark is next up for a grilling! 😊

1) What’s your name and where do you come from?

Mark, West London originally.

2) Tell us a little about how you came to play Blood Bowl and your experience in with the game and wider hobby.

Steve (Kurnous) introduced it to me last year, prior to season 2 starting, I’d only had 1 practice game against Steve to learn some basics. Other than that some HeroQuest and Space Crusade as a child.

3) What Blood Bowl achievement are you most proud of?

It’s early days for Blood Bowl for me, so simply winning a game.

4) What’s your favourite team and why?

Lizardmen, balance of bash and speed.

5) Tell us about the team you’ve brought into Season III. Did you select it for purely competitive reasons, or were there other factors involved?

Lizardmen, it took me most of Season 2 to learn what I was actually doing in the game, so I stuck with them (fresh draft) for Season 3, for one less thing to learn, as I continue to get to grips with the game.

6) What was your thought process behind your roster selections, skills taken and how would you describe your playstyle with this team?

To start I went with, 6x Saurus, 1x Krox, 4x Skinks as I wanted the 3x Rerolls from the start, then switched a Skink for a Chamelon early on once funds allowed. Skills, Block for the Saurus, with some Mightly Blow, Tackle and Guard. Unfortunately a couple have died, so its not quite worked out. Then a Skink with Sure Hands as I seem to use far too many rerolls just picking the ball up. Playstyle tends to be hit as many things as possible.

7) What are your expectations for this season? Do you have any particular goals you’d like to achieve? Who are you backing to win each division this season?

Goals for the Season, finish mid table, an equal number of Win/losses would feel like a good achievement. Winner for Division 3, a Dark Elves team

8) What’s one thing you’d change about blood bowl?

As a newbie I don’t know enough to comment on the rules, bit a quicker game. I’ve enjoyed some friendly 7’s with Steve, which just all round seems easier and quicker, but maybe that’s the beers in the Waverley helping…

9) What Pitch is your favourite (rules, artwork, whatever)?

I don’t really have a favourite, but the mats with some of the information on are good.

10) Outside of Blood Bowl tell us a little about your life and main passions?

I started Lawn Bowls last year, bringing the average age of the club down a bit. Its a good social game and most clubhouses have a very cheap bar. Then other hobbies include Running, Lego, Airsoft and we play HeroQuest over the winter as a family.

11) Pirates or Ninjas?

As a rum drinker it has to be Pirates.

12) What’s you favourite film?

No specific favourite, just anything “action”

Thanks for sharing Mark!
