Today we hook up with another sweetheart of a man, Jack!

1) What’s your name and where do you come from?

Jack, and I come from Calne.

2) Tell us a little about how you came to play Blood Bowl and your experience in with the game and wider hobby.

I started playing Blood Bowl in 2019 or somewhere around there. It was the 2016 ruleset, so anytime after that was out. My first team was the Teams of Legend Khemri and I kinda got hooked, however, I’ve been playing games like Warhammer 40k since I was 15/16 so about 10 years ago.

3) What Blood Bowl achievement are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of making 2 6 up agility rolls to dodge onto the ball, pick it up in a bunch of tackle zones, and score a touchdown off of it!

4) What’s your favourite team and why?

I’ve really been enjoying Dark Elves, the mix of punch and agility is good, but my absolute favourite is Vampires.

5) Tell us about the team you’ve brought into Season III. Did you select it for purely competitive reasons, or were there other factors involved?

I chose the Dark Elves because last season the all-beastman team didn’t work as well as I’d have liked. And a friend recommended I try Dark Elves looking at my playstyle.

6) What was your thought process behind your roster selections, skills taken and how would you describe your playstyle with this team?

I just chose the stuff I thought would be safest to begin with, so blitzers, linemen and an apo I doubled up skills as I thought I would’ve had more deaths by now. I’ve taken skills and new team members mainly based on recommendations as I’ve never had a team go this far with this many skills. My playstyle is very Agility and ball-focused. If I have a ball and haven’t passed at least once I’m not thinking straight. However, I will not shy away from a punching match either

7) What are your expectations for this season? Do you have any particular goals you’d like to achieve? Who are you backing to win each division this season?

My expectations for the season is to have more fun than last season!

I’ve already achieved my goal of not being stuck at the bottom, so that’s a great feeling. I’d probably back my friends to win their divisions so Tom and his Bloody Fists in Division 1 (even though I think he’s not had a great run) and Dan and the Wrat Wrestling Federation in Division 2. Division 3 is a difficult pick ’cause there’s quite a few hidden gems down here, my friend Scott playing the Dimmu Borgar Butchers would be who I’d like to back if I too wasn’t playing in Div 3.

8) What’s one thing you’d change about Blood Bowl?

Honestly, I would add a specialised Beastman or Tzeentch team.

9) What Pitch is your favourite (rules, artwork, whatever)?

I’ve not had a look at the rules for any of the funky pitches. But as long as the pitch is readable and easy to use I’ll play on anything.

10) Outside of Blood Bowl tell us a little about your life and main passions?

So I’m a type 1 diabetic so my life has been interesting, I work at a pub called The Duke in Hilmarton and it’s lovely. As for passions and hobbies, I really love practicing my art, also playing and streaming DnD with my friends on Sundays over at ShouldntItBeDice on Twitch.

11) Pirates or Ninjas?

Difficult choice but probably ninjas (my choice changes every time I’m asked)

12) What’s your favourite film?

Probably LoTR Fellowship of The Ring. (Any of the Peter Jackson LOTR films are incredible)

Jack appeared on one of our live-streamed matches against Steve. Check out the video below.
