With season II drawing to a close, lots of planning has been going on for season III. Digesting season II feedback, Rules sets, FB Cup, swag… there’s been a lot going on!
As part of this, the Commissioner group and general organisation of Forge Breakers is evolving! And thats what this post is all about.
Commissioners
First of all, let’s discuss the Commissioners, those shadowy machiavellian figures who keep things ticking along. Greg, Jamie and Rob have/will be standing down to be replaced by Col and Dan.
- Greg has been appointed ‘ForgeMaster’ as recognition that without him, this group wouldn’t exist!
- Jamie is standing down as Treasurer after 2 seasons but will be returning in FB season III as a player. Hopefully, a good chance for him to focus on rolling dice and having some fun in while running a million businesses.
- Rob, now a Commissioner for Barrow Lords, the new Blood Bowl league in Devizes, is standing down after 1 season to focus on growing that community. Again, Rob has signed up for FB season III. Hopefully, the growing community in Devizes will allow some spicy interleague competitions in the future!
In their place, Dan is returning after stepping down at the end of season I and Col has agreed to get involved and bring his wealth of Blood Bowl and hobby experience to the group.
The Fluff
Alongside these changes, we’ve also created a new staff group, affectionately known as ‘the fluffers’. Jem and Mark (PeetyPoos) agreed to join this group. You’ll already have seen Jem’s contributions in terms of the final season II match write-ups and the January 7s competition. Mark, on the other hand, has agreed to be our tournament coordinator.
We’ve also established a relationship with ElkTracePrints to print our swag, prizes etc. ElkTracePrints is an Etsy shop, owned by Kommissar (aka Ziggy).
Roles
One of the challenges for any group where member time is voluntarily contributed is ensuring, where appropriate, the work load is shared out and those involved understand what is required of their time and effort.
For season III we’ve defined the following (loose) roles. This is our first stab at writing this down and sharing it with the group so will likely be refined as we move forward. Nevertheless, we wanted to share this with the group.

- Swag/prize owner: Col
- Tournament co-ordinator: Mark
- The role of being ‘Jem’: Jem
- 3d printing production: Kommissar (aka Ziggy)
